Thank You for CP Community Day 2025
A special message from Debby and Peter Weinberg
Dear Friends,
The Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center had an amazing turnout of more than 400 people for our second CP Community Day, held on Saturday, June 7th. The CP community participated in everything from face painting to seated yoga to wheelchair basketball to various raffles and a great performance by Cambridge Common Voices – a neurodiverse singing group.
There are so few things, particularly in this day and age, that are simply and unconditionally...good. CP Community Day was one of those days. One family came up to us to say that their child with CP had never experienced an event devoted to and designed specifically for them. They were incredibly moved and appreciative of the opportunity to participate in such a day. The whole team there heard a similar refrain from so many. This gathering was simply a much-needed anchor for belonging. And a day full of joyful, happy faces.
This excites us when we think about the future of the CP Center. It reminds us that we have tapped into a profound need--most importantly the clinical care, research and education surrounding CP patients of all ages, but above all... the power of community - one which embraces all and celebrates each!
We just wanted to send this note of gratitude to all of you who have been with us, in many different ways, throughout this journey.
With profound thanks,
Debby and Peter Weinberg
