Research
Dr. Gordon's primary research interests are in the molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of staphylococcal disease and healthcare-associated infections. Currently, she is studying ventricular-assist device (VAD, a heart pump) infections and the molecular epidemiology and pathogenesis of Staphylococcus epidermidis, the most common pathogen infecting these devices. She is also interested in MRSA and staphylococcal infections affecting high risk populations.
