The Westchester site brings together comprehensive care services across the lifespan in one location, enabling families to access multiple specialists in a single visit. Pediatric patients will have access to coordinated care spanning orthopedics, pediatric complex care, and transitional-age support. Adult services cover rehabilitation and regenerative medicine, physical therapy and longitudinal care. Families will also have access to the clinical resources at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Washington Heights, including mental health and genetics, along with opportunities to participate in research studies. Care coordination will continue across both locations to support integrated care.

In the pediatric clinic, Family Nurse Practitioner, Eduardo del Rosario, PhD, FNP-BC will work alongside Jacqueline L. Steele, MD, a pediatric primary care physician at Columbia Primary Care and NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia, and the WFCPC’s medical director, Joshua E. Hyman, MD, who is also an orthopedic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia. The clinicians will be co-located on the same floor, allowing families to see multiple providers during a single visit when needed.

The adult clinic will pair del Rosario with Akinpelu A. Beckley, MD, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia who treats adults with CP, helping to manage pain and spasticity.

NewYork-Presbyterian The One is a new state-of-the-art center for advanced care that brings together over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties from NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia under one roof. The facility offers on-site services including radiology and women’s health, and is centrally located in Westchester with easy access and on-site parking for patients and families.

By expanding to Westchester, the WFCPC aims to make coordinated care more accessible for people living with CP.
