CP Community Day 2024

Hundreds Gather for the First CP Community Day

Over 300 members of the CP community and nearly 100 volunteers gathered for a day of fun, food and friendship at the WFCPC's first ever CP Community Day on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. It was a joyful, wonderful day filled with music and laughter. Our hearts were full seeing the CP community come together to connect. With activities and resources selected by and for the CP Community, and half of our activity stations hosted by people or families living with cerebral paly, it was truly a day where we joined forces. From balloons to sports to tacos to health screenings, there were activities for everyone.

The highlights of the day were the seated yoga sessions and a rousing performance by the neurodiverse vocal ensemble Cambridge Common Voices who traveled from Cambridge, MA to be with us.

We are incredibly proud of our team and partners for hosting the biggest community event dedicated to the CP community, staying true to our mission to build a stronger, more vibrant CP community. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to support and enjoy CP Community Day. Your participation and enthusiasm made the day truly special.

A special thank you to our PFAC member Caitlin McConnell for creating this vlog which perfectly captured the energy of the day.
